On Sunday, October 4, demonstrators and previously homeless residents of the Lucerne gathered outside the Upper West Side hotel to stand against what they call "serial displacement of Black men to cater to white comfort." Participants also organized a ribbon cutting, voter registration, and a community store in front of the Lucerne.
