A worker is spraying liquid color to the goddess durga inside of a workshop in Kumartuli, Kolkata, West Bengal, India, and Asia on October 7, 2020. Kolkata's Kumartuli is known as traditional potters' hub. More than 500 traditional workshops are here and approx 5000 artisans, their family earn livelihood by making clay idols. But this COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown has effected a lot at the business. The overall demand for the idols has fallen over 60% so the artisans are keeping their business in flow on this festive season with low production to lower prices.
