Kolkata's Kumartuli is known as traditional potters' hub. More than 500 traditional workshops are here and approx 5000 artisans, their family earn livelihood by making clay idols. But this COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown has effected a lot at the business. The overall demand for the idols has fallen over 60% so the artisans are keeping their business in flow on this festive season with low production to lower prices.
