Traditional Bengali women celebrate Durgapuja festival wearing traditional attire in evening and dance ‘Dhunuchi nach’ as ritual of durga puja in front of Durga puja pandal in Kolkata on October 24th, 2020. Durgapuja the five days long festival is widely celebrated throughout West Bengal, especially in Kolkata. According to the mythology the Durga the goddess of power comes at her maternal home once in a year with her four children and slay ‘Mahishasur’ the demon of negativity. The city is celebrating the festival amidst pandemic COVID-19. Kolkata High Court has declared ‘No Entry’ inside the pandals for the outside visitors to avoid crowd as a preventive measure of the pandemic situation. The present COVID-19 cases in India are below 7 lakh for first time after two months.
