The Polish government this week announced it will set new restrictions after designating the entire country a “red zone”. Short of a lockdown the government has decided to close all bars and restaurants for two weeks in addition to fitness clubs and primary schools which will switch to distance learning. The additional rules come after Poland has seen consecutive weeks of sharply rising coronavirus cases. This week the daily figure surged over ten thousand for the first time since the start of the epidemic.
