A massive rescue operation is underway to refloat over 60 Pilot Whales who were beached on the Panadura Coast. The operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Police, Sri Lanka Navy, the Coast Guard, and area residents, since November 2, continued amidst during the COVID-19 curfew that was implemented early last week. Two of the beached whales have reportedly died, while many others were rescued and refloated back to sea in Sri Lanka on November 3, 2020
