Marijuana grow house on fire at Canoga Park

On November 11, 2020 LAFD responded to a reported structure fire in Conoga Park. When first units arrived they found a basement fire. LAFD requested LAPD for an illigal Grow House. Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire and found a one story, single family dwelling with smoke showing. At 11:59 a knockdown was declared with no injuries reported. As firefighters were making their way through the building they located barrels (unknown quantity and size at this time) of an unidentified substance. LAFD HazMat Squad requested and is responding to determine if the barrels are a hazard. No further details. Fire officers on scene determined this is an illegal grow operation and will continue the investigation. No further details and no further updates anticipated.
