Road construction in India

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) was launched by the Govt. of India to provide connectivity to unconnected Habitations as part of a poverty reduction strategy; a road was constructed at Tehatta Under this scheme. This road has broken due to a lack of maintenance. The Residents had long demanded that the road be repaired before the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election. At the initiative of the West Bengal State Government's Gram Panchayat (Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department), the road is being Repaired. It was not possible to bring in workers from outside now due to the coronavirus so local workers were employed for road repaired.
