Russian health authorities reported a record high in the number of coronavirus infections, with 28,782 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours. The country reached 2,431,731 infections since the start of the outbreak. The death toll from COVID-19 increased by 508 to reach 42,684 in the country, official data showed.
