Voting in Tiwa Autonomous Council election in Assam

Voters undergo thermal screening as they wait to cast their votes for the during Tiwa Autonomous Council election 2020 in Morigaon district, in the northeastern state of Assam, India on December 17, 2020. Polling for 36 council constituencies in parts of Morigaon, Nagaon, Hojai and Kamrup (Metro) districts began at 7:30 am on Thursday and will end at 4:30 pm. A total of 124 candidates are in fray in the council election and a total of 3,08,409 voters will decide the fate of the candidates in ballot papers.
