Pfizer and Moderna testing vaccine on new coronavirus variant

Companies Moderna, Pfizer and BioNTech started to test the effectiveness of their vaccines against the new mutant strain of COVID-19 present mainly in London and South East England. According to Moderna, "We expect that the Moderna vaccine-induced immunity would be protective against the variants recently described in the UK; we will be performing additional tests in the coming weeks"
