Residents display fireworks on New Years Eve as they usher in the year 2021 during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on December 31, 2020. With a province-wide lockdown in effect Toronto's iconic New Year's Eve celebration was cancelled along with the music and fireworks that draws a crowd of thousands. This year some held their own fireworks displays as many celebrated New Year's Eve virtually or within their own household to slow the spread of COVID-19.
