A wave of intense cold with temperatures up to 6 degrees below 0, the northern half of France paralyzed by snow and cold temperatures. Paris and the Ile-de-France region covered by a white blanket that had not taken root for at least 3 years. Disruption to circulation, travel reduced to a minimum due to the risk of ice on the roads.
