Protest against the imprisonment of singer Pablo Hasel

A group of riot police runs through one of the downtown streets during a protest against violence and police repression after the altercations in Linares (Jaén) and against the imprisonment of singer Pablo Hasel on February 20, 2021 in Granada, Spain. Last February 12, two policemen unjustifiably assaulted a man and his 14-year-old daughter in Linares (Jaen) after an discussion, according to the judge. Same night, riots between the residents of the town and the police take place near the police station. The two policemen were arrested for abuse of superiority, risk of flight and destruction of evidence. Protests have been called in various Spanish cities after police arrested singer Pablo Hasel, who resisted imprisonment and described his case as a fight for freedom of speech.
