UN crime congress in Kyoto amid pandemic

Participants of the 14th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice take a minute of silence at 2:46 P.M. to commemorate the victim of the Great East Japan Earthquake, which marks the 10th anniversary on March 11, 2021, at the Kyoto International Conference Center in Kyoto, Japan. The UN Kyoto Congress is the first large-scale international conference that Japan holds since the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. Most of the participants attends the congress online while there are about 280 in-person participants from the UN member states.
