Top-Level Summit in Paris

President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron during the press conference held at the Elysée Palace at the conclusion of the summit with Mohamed El-Menfi, President of the Libyan Presidential Council, and Moussa Al-Koni, Vice-President of the Libyan Presidential Council, in Paris, on March 23, 2021. “What they are entitled to, that is, to have for themselves the fruits of their resources and their wealth. I think that this is an issue for your country, for your people and it is an issue for the whole region because there will be no peace in the central and eastern Mediterranean. There will be no peace in the Sahel and in the whole of this region of Africa if we do not manage to have peace and stability in Libya, if we do not manage to eradicate the terrorist groups and traffickers of all kinds who are destabilising your country and the region today”.
