12th anniversary of earthquake in L'Aquila

Commemoration for the 12th anniversary of the earthquake in L'Aquila, on April 6, 2021. An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 on the Richter magnitude scale and 6.3 on the moment magnitude scale with its epicentre was near L'Aquila, took place on April 6, 2009 damaging the city and surrounding villaged. The earthquake was felt throughout central Italy with 309 people died, making it the deadliest earthquake to hit Italy since the 1980 Irpinia earthquake
