Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire and Industry Minister Agnès Pannier-Runacher during the press conference on the occasion of their visit to the Bernard Controls company, which specialises in the nuclear industry. The visit was the occasion for a strategic energy sector summit at which an agreement was signed for the major reform of EDF, the French energy company. In Gonesse, Val d'Oise, on April 15, 2021. SOT 4 - Bruno Le Maire talks about the reform of EDF: This is the meaning of the reform that we are carrying out, we are continuing discussions with the European Commission. We have red lines which are non-negotiable. The first of these red lines is the unity of EDF. And this unity translates into very concrete things that we are discussing, notably the financial flows between the different activities of EDF. This is part of the red lines which are not negotiable and we will see with the European Commission whether or not we manage to find an agreement. We are also discussing with the trade unions. I had an initial meeting with Barbara Pompili with all the trade union organisations. We are now going to receive them one after the other as of next week. Why? Not to present them with a take it or leave it project. This is not my conception of discussion, it is not my conception of negotiation. To present them with a project that can be improved. All proposals, all constructive ideas are welcome. There is only one thing which, in my opinion, is not conceivable for EDF, and that is the status quo.
