Demonstration Calls For Legalization Of Cannabis Use In Tunis

Demonstrators wave flags, and hold a banner with a drawing of cannabis leaf, handcuffs and the United Nations emblem, and that reads ‘Legal’, as a demonstrator speaks on a megaphone and says ‘this is our first step, and we will continue, the front of liberation of kif made them afraid’, during a demonstration held by The Front of Liberation of the Kif on Habib Bourguiba Avenue in Tunis on Tunisia, on March 20, 2021, to call for the decriminalization and legalization of cannabis use and the liberalization of its commercialization. The young demonstrators also demanded the suspension of the application of law 52 on narcotics which is regarded as repressive, and asked for a legislative pardon for all those detained for drug use.
