Mourning in Rambouillet after the terrorist attack on the police station

The police station in Rambouillet, a village 65 kilometres south-west of Paris, is surrounded by security forces and remains closed until Monday 26 April, after an assault by a man armed with a knife and the killing of an administrative police officer. Stephanie, 49, two children, was stabbed by a 36-year-old man, who was immediately shot dead by officers. Less than 24 hours after the events, the entire community of the village in the Yvelines department, not even an hour from the capital, is in shock. On the morning of 24 April, some 20 people went to the police station to deposit bouquets of flowers and to express their solidarity with the officers guarding the scene of the attack. Sophie, a resident of Rambouillet, had seen the victim, a friend of her parents, several times. SOT 1 - Sohpie, resident of Rambouillet: My parents knew her, she participated in the country dance association, as did my mother. I had seen her two or three times, she was a nice person and I find what happened horrible, there are no words. Oggia, we brought flowers and drawings that the children made and we are thinking of her husband and her two children.
