Following the call of Tunisian parties, organizations and associations, hundreds of demonstrators rallied in front of the Tunisia's parliament's building (The Assembly of the Representatives of the People, ARP) in the city of Bardo Tunis, Tunisia, on May 18, 2021, to call for the adoption of a law by the parliament, that criminalizes all forms of normalization of relations with Israel. Demonstrators also protested against the Israeli air strikes on Gaza Strip as well as the Israeli violations in the occupied territories in Palestine, especially in the Palestinian neighbourhood Sheikh Jarrah in East Jerusalem. The protest comes after more than a week of violence in Gaza and Israel. At least 192 people, including 58 children and 34 women, have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the latest violence began a week ago. Israel has reported 10 dead, including two children.
