An antifascist demonstration was held between Republic and Place Gambetta for the eighth anniversary of the death of Clement Meric in Paris, on june 5, 2021 a day after two ex-skinheads involved in the death of the anti-fascist activist, killed during a brawl in 2013, were sentenced to 8 and 5 years in prison by the Assizes court.
