Fishing trawlers have appeared at the Namkhana jetty in West Bengal, India, Asia, July 17th, 2021. Hilsa fishing is done during the monsoon; due to prolong bad weather and lockdown the fishermen couldn't go into the sea for fishing for long time. Now the hiking of petrol price in India made the fishermen helpless to go for fishing in the sea. Previously the fishermen used to catch Hilsa easily without going in deep sea; but now a days due to lack of Hilsa availability they had to go in deep sea which takes more days and causes more fuel cost. The whole expenses have become more than double now. Catching of juvenile Hilsa is also banned in the country but it is another cause of lacking of Hilsa.
