Clashes on the day of muharram procession in Kashmir

Kashmiri Shia muslims participate in a muharram procession which was foiled by government forces in Srinagar on 17 August 2021. Government forces resorted to pellet firing, heavy tear gas shelling, baton charge and aerial firing against Shia Muslims as they defied restrictions amid pro-freedom sloganeering to take out the 8th Muharram procession in Srinagar, Indian Administered Kashmir.
