Environmental Activists Protest Against President's Statement at COP26, in Jakarta

Environmental activist, students, and children come back to the street to stage a rally protest against President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's COP26 statement in front of Arjuna Wijaya horse statue in Central Jakarta, Indonesia on November 5, 2021. They gather in front of the Jakarta City Hall carrying various attributes and placard before making their rally towards the Arjuna Wijaya horse statue. The climate defenders claim the President's speech during those world leader annual meeting as a nonsense. The protesters demanded Mr. President and his government to pay more attention to the global climate crisis. They also demanded President Jokowi to ensure that every development progress in this nation is in line with the environmental issues such as start to stop new permit for coal-fired power plants and start to implement zero deforestation immediately. Protesters also insist President Jokowi to ratify the National Gender Action Plan, increase emission reduction targets achieve zero emissions by 2050, and conduct a maximum protection to indigenous peoples natural habitat, living space and resources.
