Protest in Warsaw against closing of coal mines

About a hundred coal mine employees protested in Warsaw, Poland on 06 November, 2021 in front of the European Commission representation office. Representatives of the All-Poland Alliance Union of Trade Unions and others spoke at the rally to protest the closing of mines following a decision by the Polish government to phase out coal sourced energy production. Union representatives want the government to slow down the process to prevent mass unemployment and an increase in energy prices.
