Afghan Refugees Protest in UNCHR Demand Resettlement

Refugees and asylum seekers from Afghanistan rally a protest in front of the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) building in Central Jakarta on November 15, 2021. Women and children gathered alongside of alley at Jalan Kebon Sirih 2 before did a long march to UNHCR building. Indonesian Police personnel complete with anti riot vehicle and munipicial police stand on guard around the UNHCR building since 09.00 a.m.  The refugees shouting for justice as they walk carry some posters that read some demand for Indonesian goverment and UNCHR representative. They demand a dialog with UNCHR spokeperson during the protest to talk about their resettlement. The refugees admitted that some of them have lived in Indonesia for a decade and until now they still do not get explitation about their fate in the future.
