The Customs Department Seized 897 Kilograms of Methamphetamine in Crystal form (ice)

Thai Customs Department show the result of machine test as they seized 897 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine worth 2.7 billion baht ($79,733,079) after Thai customs intercepted packages headed for Taiwan, in Bangkok, Thailand, 04 December 2021. The Seaport Interdiction Task Force (SITF) team led by the Customs Department had conducted an examination of a sea cargo shipment at the Bangkok Port Customs Office. The shipment is declared as “Anti-fall durable silicone rubber flooring” bound for the Republic of China (Taiwan). The Drug was found sophisticatedly concealed in 161 pieces of silicone weight approximately 4.5 to 6 kilograms per piece. The methamphetamine found in this shipment is worth 538 million Baht according to ONCB, but it could turn to 2.7 billion Baht when reached Taiwanese market.
