Local government election in Peshawar

Voters are casting ballot at a polling station during Local Bodies Election 2021, held in Peshawar on Sunday, December 19, 2021. Voting is underway for the first phase of the local government election in 17 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) amid tight security. The polling began at 8am and will continue until 5pm without any break. The balloting is underway smoothly and peacefully in most of the districts in the province.
