Ice pancakes are seen on the Vistula river running through Warsaw, Poland on 29 December, 2021. These sheets of ice which can vary in size from 30 centimeters to 3 meters form when temperatures dive just below zero degrees Celsius. This spongy type of ice is very sticky and the phenomenon is observed much less frequently than in the past due to the effects of climate change
